Last week we saw the near-impossible happen in Top Tracks: a new Drake song failed to reach #1 in either of its first two weeks of eligibility. Granted, "Hush Up The Silence" was leaked in sub-CDQ and pretty quickly removed from the internet, but after seeing the Drake effect boost recent songs that didn't even feature him (like Juelz Santana's "Drake Voice") to #1, it was pretty shocking to see anyone beat out Drizzy for the top spot, even if it was J. Cole. This week though, we're back to the norm, with another non-Drake song benefitting immensely from having his name in the title, and even a track by Jarren Benton (who's never sniffed the top ten before) breaking the top 20 due to a Drake reference.
Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, and Quavo are all tied with two appearances apiece this week, although one of Quavo's is via a Migos track. New tracks barely missing the cut this week include French Montana and Diddy's "Can't Feel My Face" (#11), Gucci Mane's "Sir Brix A Lot" (#15), Major Lazer, PartyNextDoor, and Nicki Minaj's "Run Up" (#16), and Jarren Benton's "Jealous Of Drake" (#17).
10. Jeezy Feat. Chris Brown - Give It To Me
We don't really know where this Jeezy/Breezy leak came from, or when it was recorded, as Miss Info suggested that it was a Trap Or Die 3 outtake, but it sounds a little dated compared to the material that made the album. Nevertheless, you put these two guys together, and people are going to listen. "Give It To Me" makes its debut at #10.
9. Rick Ross Feat. Ty Dolla $ign - I Think She Like Me
After sharing "Buy Back The Block" late last year, Rick Ross continued the campaign for his upcoming album Rather You Than Me last week by sharing a second track, the Ty Dolla $ign-featuring "I Think She Like Me." We still don't know exactly when Rozay's ninth album will be dropping, but with the singles filtering out at a reasonable rate, it looks like the MMG boss will be sticking to his "early 2017" promise. This track debuts at #9.
8. Fetty Wap - With You (Official)
Fetty hasn't been getting much love on the site lately, and "With You" doesn't fare much better than usual with a user rating of 57%, but people are still clicking hoping for another single with radio potential. This one definitely feels closer to the songs that got Fetty hot than the rap-heavier ones on November's Zoovier tape, but clearly that's not satisfying enough for y'all. "With You" debuts at #8.
7. Migos - What The Price
Culture is now out in the world, and although most of us have spent the last three days listening to it on repeat, there were still four days last week when we only had "Bad & Boujee," "T-Shirt," "Call Casting," and "What The Price" to subsist on. For that reason, the most recent of those tracks made it into the Top Tracks for a second week. "What The Price" holds at #7 in its second week out.
6. Big Sean - Halfway Off The Balcony
After the Migos buzz subsides later this week, we'll get the second hyper-anticipated release of the year, Big Sean's I Decided. Since sharing lead single "Bounce Back" on Halloween, Sean Don's given us two more album cuts, the most recent of which is "Halfway Off The Balcony." In its second week out, the track falls two places from #4 to #6.
5. WizKid Feat. Drake - Hush Up The Silence
As I mentioned in the intro, this leak was removed pretty quickly after it went up, and it failed to hit #1 in its first and second weeks of eligibility. Still though, not many tracks stick around for more than two weeks in the top ten, let alone the top five. In its third week out, Drake and WizKid's "Hush Up The Silence" falls three places from #2 to #5.
4. DJ Drama Feat. Lil Wayne - Intro
It's exceedingly rare for tracks to peak after their first week on the charts, and I'd venture to say that no other track has peaked on its 28th week out. That's the case with DJ Drama's Lil Wayne-featuring Quality Street Music 2 intro track, though, which failed to chart in our top ten until it was about 18 weeks old, and has been steadily climbing ever since. In its 28th week out, the track rises a whopping six places from #10 to #4.
3. Jacquees Feat. Quavo & Ty Dolla $ign - B.E.D (Pt. 2) (Prod. By Nash B)
Last week Jacquees dropped off his tape Since You Playin, and one of the definite highlights from it is this Quavo and Ty Dolla-assisted banger called "B.E.D (Pt. 2)." The Rich Gang singer clearly benefits from the big-name guests on here, but we'd also be remiss to fail to mention that this is his Top Ten debut as a lead artist. In its first week out, the track debuts at #3.
2. DJ Khaled Feat. Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, August Alsina, Jeremih, Future & Rick Ross - Do You Mind
The counterpart to DJ Drama and Lil Wayne's "Intro" in terms of longevity (now that Mac Miller and Anderson .Paak's "Dang!" finally seems to have subsided), this Khaled track still has never dropped out of the Top Ten. In its 27th week out, it's up four places from #6 to #2.
1. The Game - Drake Flows
We saw it happen a few weeks back with another rapper, Juelz Santana, whose tracks don't exactly rocket to the top on their own, and now The Game benefits from name-dropping Drake in the title of a new track. Like "Drake Voice," "Drake Flows" is built around a Drizzy sample, namely the beat from "Look What You've Done," and although it's less than two minutes long, Game doesn't waste a second, making the most of the short runtime with a dope verse. "Drake Flows" debuts at #1.
