Is Miguel readying a new album for this fourth quarter?

Fans have been patiently waiting for the release of a new album from Miguel for a couple years now ever since he dropped off his Wildheart LP back in 2015, and based on his recent moves and releases lately we might be closer than we think to having our wishes come true.

A couple weeks ago, the R&B singer came out of nowhere and released a new single called “Sky Walker” with Travis Scott, which has been picking up momentum on the charts & airwaves following its new music video. Then, two week after that, Miguel decided to hit us with another song called “Shockandawe,” which left fans assuming that a new album was indeed on the way for later this year.

Well on Wednesday night, the R&B heartthrob appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, and served as the evening's musical guest. Backed by a live band, Miguel took the stage to perform his previously heard track “Come Through And Chill,” which he released last year on soundcloud.

But based on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s description via Youtube, “Come Through And Chill” is expected to live on Miguel’s upcoming “rumored” album… “For his second song on The Late Show stage Miguel chose to perform this brand-new track off his rumored upcoming album,” their description read.

The record itself is originally produced by Salaam Remi and a laid-back slow jam that's about staying indoors, ordering up some weed, and having sex all night long. It’s pretty much the perfect record for the Winter months approaching and cuffin season almost upon us.

“Put your sweats on, put your sweats on for me/ Cause I got the plug, I made the call for green/ I’m talking late-night for you, let me lay a great time on you/ Don’t hesitate, no, don't you, no, no,” Miguel croons on the chorus.

Watch Miguel perform the record (below) and look for details on his rumored 4th LP to be hopefully coming soon. In the meantime, be sure check out his recently released video for “Sky Walker” while you're at it, and show your support on iTunes.
