Mike Bibby caught some heat in February after he was accused by a teacher at the Shadow Mountain High School in Arizona of sexually assaulting her. At the time, Bibby was fired as head coach of the Shadow Mountain basketball team, just days after leading them to another state title. Police immediately jumped into an investigation to see whether or not they had enough evidence to bring Bibby's case to court.
After a month or so, it appears as though police weren't able to gather enough evidence and have now dropped the case. Sgt. Vince Lewis says the investigation "did not reveal probable cause to recommend charges against anyone in the case," according to ESPN.
When the investigation first got underway, Bibby's attorney was adamant that he was innocent and that the case would eventually be thrown out.
"I can say with pretty much certainty this alleged incident didn't happen and that will be shown down the road," he said. "Michael Bibby did not participate in a sexual assault of any way, shape or form that was alleged by this lady two years ago."
Since being fired from Shadow Mountain High School, Bibby has reportedly drawn attention from some Universities who may want to hire him as their next head coach.
