Bibby has been accused of sexually assaulting a teacher.

It was reported yesterday that former NBA player Mike Bibby was being investigated by Shadow Mountain High School and the Phoenix Police Department for allegedly sexually assaulting a teacher at the school he coaches basketball at. Bibby allegedly pulled the teacher by the waist into his car and tried to grind up against her, according to TMZ. Now it is being reported that Bibby has been fired by the school for his alleged conduct.

"He is no longer eligible to volunteer as our coach pending the outcome of the investigations," a spokesperson for the school district explained.

In a report from AZ Central, Bibby's attorney, Donald Harris, claimed the former NBA player's innocence in what happened. The teacher who faced the alleged assault was granted a restraining order from Bibby on February 22nd.

"I can say with pretty much certainty this alleged incident didn't happen and that will be shown down the road," he said. "Michael Bibby did not participate in a sexual assault of any way, shape or form that was alleged by this lady two years ago."

Bibby has worked with Shadow Mountain High School for six years now and has led the team to five state titles. This past weekend, the team won their fourth straight title, according to AZ Central.
