NFL linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested last night at the team hotel on charges of domestic violence. The arrest report states that Foster was booked at 9:10 pm at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Tampa Bay, Florida. He was marshaled to a detainment center soon after, where he sat through a bond hearing before being shown his new quarters.
TMZ submitted a vague incident report to the final bulletin. The report makes allusions to Foster feuding with a long-term romantic partner, over what, we simply don't know.
Apparently, Reuben Foster and Elissa Ennis got into a verbal spat at the team's hotel. The details are foggy, but it is believed Foster eventually turned violent slapping Ennis' phone from her hands, he pushed her in the chest, then slapped her with an open palm, on the right side of her face.
This isn't the first time Foster stands accused of committing an act of domestic violence. Back in May, fought over "similar circumstances" to which he contended he was being extorted for money. The charges were eventually dropped due to a lack of material evidence.
In response to his recent arrest, the San Francisco 49ers have cut ties with Foster effective immediately. Although they stood by their man in May, management was feeling less bold the second time around - their official statement coming the way of Twitter.
The 49ers will be forced to take the field as if nothing happened, as they square off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1pm this afternoon.
