WWE has announced that Torrie Wilson will be joining D-Generation X and The Honky Tonk Man as members of the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2019.
Wilson, 43, spent nearly a decade in pro wrestling as a manager and wrestler before an injury forced her out of action in 2008.
Torrie gained fame when she won the Miss Galaxy pageant in 1998, and later broke into the world of professional wrestling with Scott Steiner in WCW. Wilson joined WWE when the company purchased WCW in spring 2001, and she went on to become a pivotal member of the WWE Women’s division.
"This feels like a sweet closure," Wilson, 43, told espnW. "Since I retired, so many people have asked me, 'Do you feel bad you've never won a title?' And I have always said no, because I felt like I got the value -- even though it would have been nice [to win a title]. But being inducted into the Hall of Fame feels like a championship belt to me, because it really makes me feel appreciated."
Though she retired in '08, Torrie returned to WWE in 2018 to take part in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match and later took part in a Battle Royal at the WWE's all-women's Evolution PPV.
Wilson, D-Generation X and The Honky Tonk Man will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on the eve of Wrestlemania 35, Saturday, April 6, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
