As Netflix and Marvel unleash the latest season of Iron Fist, fans were also gifted with as sneak peek at what to expect of Season 3 of Daredevil.
In the new clip, you’ll find the title character writing off his identity as Matt Murdock and choosing to continue to operate as Daredevil. The scene is set in a confessional booth as Murdock, portrayed by Charlie Cox, wears a familiar black outfit in the darkness.
“I once believed that justice could be found in a court of law, and in the light of day,” Daredevil says, “but I was fooling myself. Darkness only responds to darkness. And the thing is, I’d rather die as the Devil than live as Matt Murdock.”
The teaser trailer originally arrived in the post-credits Iron Fist’s season 2, and suggest a much darker side of Daredevil than in seasons past. While no official date has been attached to the arrival of Daredevil‘s season 3, it is assured that it will arrive before this year is up. The new season will back up where Defenders left off with everyone assuming that Murdock died. At the end of the series, Murdock is seen being taken care of by a group of nuns at an undisclosed location.
The cast is set to appear on a panel at October’s Comic-Con in New York and surely, more details will arrive during that conversation. For now, go ahead and absorb this latest teaser.
