It’s been a long time coming for Wake Flocka’s Flockavelli 2 project. In fact, we’ve been anticipating its release since 2013 when Waka first announced the sequel & revealed that it was already done being recorded back then, but unfortunately it has never seen the light of day. After suffering from several setbacks & delays following label issues with Atlantic, Waka gave fans some hope of its release back in 2015 when he revealed that Kanye West, Drake, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and more would be featured on it, but still nothing ever came of it after making the announcement. Having dropped off his Lebron Flocka James 4 mixtape with Young Sizzle last year, the ATL rapper has been relatively quiet ever since then with exception to his latest song "Rock Paper Scissors," but thankfully that all looks to be changing here today.
Over the Summer, Waka revealed that Flockavelli 2 would be dropping on October 5, and while that doesn’t look to be the case anymore (since today is 10/5), the ATL rapper has decided to treat us to TWO new songs in the meantime to hold us over. Following up the previously heard record “Trap My Ass Off,” Waka releases a second song off Flockavelli 2 tonight called “Circles” featuring Derez Deshon, who’s coming off the release of his own Gangsta Grillz hosted mixtape in August called PAIN.
In addition to these two new songs, the ATL trapper also just shared a video for "Big Dawg" yesterday as well as three separate posts on Instagram spelling out the words "Flockavelli 2," which once again hints that his long awaited project looks to be right around the corner.
While we wait for it though, take a listen to this new Southside-produced banger and let us know what you think. If you’re a fan, be sure to show your support on iTunes. We’ll continue to keep you posted moving forward.
Quotable Lyrics:
I got my won producers made my own sound
just go hard, I never back down
Hear the echoes thats haters all in my background (fuck y’all)
Yea all y'all don't notice you, y’all sellin' lies y’all tellin’ lies
I know the truth you can feel the pain in my vocal booth
I ain't gon’ stop til’ I'm platinum times two
