Diddy isn't the only celebrity who is making a push to buy the Carolina Panthers.

Golden State Warriors All-Star Steph Curry, who grew up in North Carolina, and free agent QB Colin Kaepernick have both expressed interest in purchasing the team after owner, Jerry Richardson, announced his decision to sell.

Hours after Sports Illustrated published a report outlining some of Richardson's alleged sexual and racial misconduct toward former employees, he released a statement citing his desire to sell the Panthers.

ā€œI believe that it is time to turn the franchise over to new ownership. Therefore, I will put the team up for sale at the conclusion of this NFL season. We will not begin the sale process, nor will we entertain any inquiries, until the very last game is played. I hope everyone in this organization will be firmly focused on just one mission: To play and win the Super Bowl.ā€

Shortly after that announcement, Diddy shared a video on social media saying he wants to buy the team. Curry responded to the video, "I want in," and Kaepernick, who Diddy says he'd sign if he were the owner, added, "I want in on this ownership group! Let's make it happen!"

According to reports, some experts believe the team could sell for more than $2 billion. The Panthers currently 10-4 on the season, which puts them second in the NFC South behind the 10-4 New Orleans Saints, who own the tiebreaker.
