Villanova Wildcats are the 2018 NCAA National Champions.

This years March Madness was one fro the ages. With a first ever victory by a 16 seed in UMBC beating Virgnia to an 11 seed in Loyola Chicago going to Final Four, this year’s tournament saw some of the most unthinkable things happen, but on Monday night the best team in the country won the National Championship, that being the Villanova Wildcats. They beat the Michigan Wolverines 79-62.

After a fast start by Michigan Wilverines, Villanova turned to their sixth man, Donte DiVincenzo, to take over the game. In fact, DiVincenzo set the NCAA record for the most points for a player off the bench in a National Championship game history. He scored 18 in the first half and finished with 31 on the night, earning himself MVP honors.

Villanova ran away with the game from about mid-way through the first and never looked back. They were up by 20 points at some points in the second half, and anytime Michigan would try and go on a run, Nova had an answer, which was usually DiVincenzo.

The victory by Villanova doesn't come much of a surprise since they entered the game 5.5 game favorites and were the #2 seed overall in the entire tournament. Following what many people thought was going to happen, fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts and sound off on Nova’s blowout victory, which you can see for yourself (below).
