Eagles clinch division but lose MVP candidate Wentz.

Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Carson Wentz exited last night's game late in the third quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the game shortly thereafter. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles fear that Wentz tore his ACL.

Wentz, who threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns before being forced out of the game, was seen walking around the locker room with a heavy, black brace on his left knee after Philly's 43-35 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. According to Adam Schefter, Wentz is scheduled to undergo an MRI tomorrow in Philadelphia.

After the win, in which the Eagles clinched the NFC East divisional crown, Wentz took to twitter to address Eagles fans.

With Wentz out of the lineup for the foreseeable future, the 11-2 Eagles will turn to veteran QB Nick Foles. Wentz, 24, has put together an MVP caliber season in just his second year in the league. Through the first 13 games he has thrown for 3,296 yards and an NFL-best 33 touchdowns.

It's unlikely he'll be able to return for the Eagles' Super Bowl push, but there's still some optimism from the Philly faithful, including former running back Brian Westbrook.
