50 Cent's Starz TV series Power was one of the highest-rated premium cable shows in the world last year, with North American numbers that trailed only HBO's Game of Thrones in terms of audience share. However, popularity doesn't always translate into awards success and, after not receiving a single Golden Globe nod for his hard work, let's just say Fif might be a tad bitter about the whole thing.
Posting to his personal Instagram account, 50 went all-caps to show his frustration with the lack of love shown to him by the Hollywood Foreign Press this year. "GOLDEN GOLBES S**T ON ME AGAIN," he lamented, "no POWER. SMH 🤷♂️ SO F**K EM LOL," he added, using this caption to underscore the severity of the image, which shows a toilet with gold etched into the design underneath some toilet paper that has a rough Shaprie scrawl across the front of it. Further to that, 50 Cent's show may in trouble in more ways than one. Starz has been dropped by its parent cable company, a move that has thrust Power into the realm of uncertainty. The rapper used social media to try and rally fans of the series together and, by virtue of sheer numbers, try and keep the program on the air for a little while longer, at least in the New York area. There has been no clear-cut answer as of the this writing as to whether or not Power will air another season.
