50 Cent is back on the set with his hit TV series Power, following through on his new contract with Starz that will see him continuing to make content for the network through 2019. However, the prospect that the show will not air in one of the biggest markets in the United States, New York City, is still a very real problem because of cable distribution.

As we reported a little while ago, Optimum, which is owned by Altice USA, has dropped Starz as one of the premium networks that is offered as part of their package deals. Despite this, Power was one of the highest-rated shows on cable last year, trailing only HBO juggernaut Game of Thrones in terms of sheer numbers. Because of this, fans of Fif's series like Tyler Perry want fans and subscribers to help keep Starz in the rotation.

In a video clip that 50 shared on his Instagram profile, the man behind Madea delivered a PSA of sorts to the camera, beginning by stating that he "can't believe" that Optimum dropped Starz unceremoniously like that. The actor/director urges fans of the network and, more importantly, 50 Cent's series, to go online or contact the provider by phone and let their voices be heard.

Fif definitely appreciated the shout-out, captioning the video by saying: "My boy @TylerPerry said it all for me. Optimum is bugging out taking POWER off." With at least one other big name publicly denouncing the decision by Optimum, there's more hope that the provider will soon reverse Starz's exit from their list of channel options.
