2 Chainz celebrated his 40th birthday with a Gold certification for "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music."

It's been a little over three months since 2 Chainz delivered the highly-anticipated Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. While many of the singles off of the album didn't have the mainstream appeal of a "Birthday Song" or an "I'm Different", he still managed to level up his previous work with this project. Many even deem the album as his best work yet.

Today, he revealed that Pretty Girls Like Trap Music is now certified Gold by RIAA standards. As 2 Chainz celebrated his 40th birthday three days a go, the rapper took to Instagram to post a slideshow of the party with the cover photo being a picture of him holding the gold plaque. The caption reads, "Birthday all month bihhh surprise turn up @escobaratlanta last nite was a vibe !!oh yeh album is on the way to being platinum." This plaque joins his debut album that has been certified platinum since it's release. It's another feat for 2 Chainz. Hopefully, we get to witness this album going platinum before the end of the year. Whether you like him or not, you can't say that the accolades he receives aren't well deserved.

2 Chainz took a pretty interesting route in promoting the album as well. Upon it's release, Chainz unveiled his pink trap house in Atlanta that served as an art gallery and also became a tourist attraction in Atlanta. The house hosted both a church sermon on a Sunday and also provided free HIV testing for citizens of the city. Along with that, he's now currently embarking on the Pretty Girls Like Trap Music tour which is set to wrap up on September 22nd.

On a separate note, we're hoping that we get this Eminem and 2 Chainz collaboration in the near future. He posted pictures of him and Em hanging out on Instagram, so hopefully we get to see 2 Chainz on Em's upcoming album.
