2 Chainz is arguably one of the hardest working rappers in the game. Regardless of the time of day or year, the ATL veteran appears to be always working on his craft & recording new music for the fans. Hell, just a couple months ago we found out that he had 10 songs with Drake just sitting in the vault, and also has an upcoming collab with Eminem on the way as well. In addition to that, 2 Chainz also released a highly successful, Gold-selling album (which will soon be platinum) in June called Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, which featured guest appearances from Drake, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj & more, but it appears that’s not all Tity Boi is treating fans to this year. It turns out the ATL rapper is getting ready to release another album soon.
On early Tuesday morning, 2 Chainz took to Instagram to announce that he's working on a new album. “New album on the way , I'm farther than I thought I was ,,!!! Naw I'm lying I knew I had some shit brewing 👊🏿🔥🔥🔥#nocap #drenchGOD” he captioned the post.
Unfortunately he didn't give us any insight into what the album would be called or when we can expect to hear it, but he did say he was “farther than I thought I was,” so hopefully its here before the year ends.
Most recently, 2 Chainz has been busy lending out features to other artists in the game, including Young Dolph, Giggs, Victor Oladipo, Damian Lillard, Bebe Rexha, and even Lil Pump who collaborated on the song “Iced Out.”
Check out the album announcement (below) and we’ll continue to keep you posted on further details moving forward. In the meantime, be sure to revisit our latest Digital Cover Story with 2 Chainz if you happened to have missed it. (Shit's dope)
In other related news, this announcement comes just weeks after news surfaced that 2 Chainz was being sued for missing payments on his Rolls Royce Wraith. Apparently he still owed a balance of $18,317 (from the $262,212 purchasing price), but refused to pay the last payment when asked for it. Its unclear if anything has been resolved from this matter, but the auto broker was taking legal action against 2 Chainz earlier this month.
