On the eve of their new "Rags" EP, EarthGang lands a Dreamville deal.

On a week that has brought us a new single from Danielle Bregoli and studio footage of Blac Chyna's musical debut, sometimes it's nice to see a dope-ass duo like EarthGang making big moves and landing a W. In the wake of announcing their upcoming Rags EP, Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot have continued their hot streak, securing a serious co-sign from J. Cole in the process. While EarthGang have collaborated with J.Cole and his Dreamville Records affiliates in the past, as of this morning, the Atlanta duo have officially been added to the Dreamville family.

The label has shared a video teaser for Rags, which was shot back in 2015, when J. Cole was in the process of establishing a relationship with the duo. Cole basically showered the duo with praise, elaborating on their importance in not only the Atlanta hip-hop scene, but the entire game. "When n*ggas think about Atlanta, they think about super trap shit. They think about, ya know, Future...Future is the God right now in that world and that lane," says Cole. "But it's like, them kids you seen at that show tonight...they actually relate more to ya'll." As Cole leaves the meeting, he tells the group that if they ever need any assistance, to hit him up.

Fast forward to now, with Rags set to drop tomorrow, and EarthGang officially belonging to Dreamville Records. It's a well deserved win for the talented group, and with Cole behind them, perhaps they can finally start to get the exposure they deserve. There's no doubt that Rags will be a slept on release, but it'll definitely deliver some quality music from an underrated group.

Aside from EarthGang, Dreamville officially houses J. Cole, J.I.D, Bas, Cozz, Ari, Omen, J.I.D. & Lute.
