Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors advanced to the second round of the NBA Playoffs. On Sunday, the Warriors proved they were the better team beating the Kings in Game 7. The series had plenty for fans and the media to discuss. Including an incident that involved Green and Domantas Sabonis early on. However, the Warriors got the last laugh, eliminating the Kings from the playoff. But it appears that Green may have an unsettled beef with Sabonis.
Green was suspended for Game 3 of the series after stomping Sabonis in Game 2. The incident has long been discussed due to sides being picked as to why the incident happened in the first place. But in the end, Green's suspension turned out to just be a bump in the Warriors road. Quickly after the series, the Warriors forward took to his podcast to discuss the series. Green had a lot of praise for Kings superstar De'Aaron Fox. However, Sabonis may still be on the beef list.
Draymond Green Calls Sabonis Weak
"Lost a lot of respect for Sabonis. You don't shake guys hands after you lose? I don't respect that… You lost, deal with it. Pay your respect," Green stated on his feelings toward Sabonis. However, the Warriors star shouldn't be too surprised that Sabonis would not shake hands. But that didn't stop Green from letting the world know his thoughts on the Kings forward. Players not shaking hands has long been an issue with teams after an emotional playoff series. Including Micahel Jordan's Chicago Bulls and the 'Bad Boy' Detroit Pistons.
Whatever the case may be, the Warriors and Kings put on a great show for fans. The series between the two teams was one of the more exciting matchups of the first round. However, the young Kings team wasn't ready for the next step along their franchise's journey. Now the second round will see a matchup between the Warriors and LeBron James. The possible last matchup between the two longtime rivals. Do you believe that Draymond Green's assessment of Sabonis is correct? Or is Sabonis doing nothing wrong with his post-game involvement?
