What was almost completely relegated to street corners and Youtube a few years ago has garnered national recognition, more tv programming, Pay-Per-View events, and other attention of the mainstream media. Hip Hop icons like Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Drake have put on events for the battle scene and at this rate things can only continue to expand. That being the case, we’re here to keep you updated on all things battle rap. It’s always a great time to join the culture.

Hello again, battle fans! Today’s edition of What’s New In Battle Rap is one of the few that features mostly Don’t Flop battles. Surprising, right? If that’s not your thing, don’t worry. We’ve got King of the Dot and URL battles as well. And these battles in addition to a few new event announcements make for a big couple of weeks for battling.

Chilla Jones vs Charron

Rising star B Dot makes his King of the Dot debut against veteran Cortez. The battle was very impressive from both dudes, but it’s interesting that people are saying the veteran held his own with the up and comer.

Rum Nitty refers to himself as the gun bar king, and apparently Tay Roc feels some type of way about that. This N.O.M.E. 6 battle seemingly had that title on the line.

This one rounder provided a good show for the Leeds crowd at Don’t Flop’s 8th Birthday. With impressive performances from Soul and Quill, this easily could have been a title match if it were three rounds and both parties were up for it.

KOTD recently dropped the trailer for their always highly anticipated Blackout event. This one goes down March 11th and 12th. The fans are now anxiously waiting for battler announcements.

No Coast Releases Trailer for Valentine’s Day Massacre 4

The trailer for No Coast’s February event reveals that E. Farrell vs B Magic battle everyone has been talking about. Copywrite vs Reverse Live and Syd Vicious vs Uno Lavoz are two more battles at the top of the card.
