Odom's former coach says he's excited about the 3on3 league.

Lamar Odom is interested in playing in Ice Cube's Big3 League, according to his former coach, Jim Harrick.

TMZ recently caught up with Harrick, who coached Lamar at the University of Rhode Island, and he says that the 37-year old former NBA star is excited about potentially playing in the 3on3 league.

Odom last played in the NBA during the 2012-13 season as a member of the Los Angles Clippers, where he averaged just 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

In a recent piece he wrote for The Player's Tribune, Odom candidly addressed his drug addiction and how everyday is a struggle to stay sober.

"I’m sober now. But it’s an everyday struggle. I have an addiction. I’ll always have an addiction. It never goes away. I mean, I want to get high right now. But I know that I can’t if I want to be here for my children."

The Big3 League, which boasts former NBA favorites such as Mike Bibby, Kenyon Martin, Stephen Jackson, and Jason Williams is headed to the Staples Center in Los Angeles this weekend for the 8th and final week of the regular season. The first round of the playoffs will tip off August 20th in Seattle, followed by the championship round at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on August 26th.
