Last night the Sacramento Kings finally parted ways with All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, trading him to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first-round pick and a 2017 second rounder.
Seriously.
While Cousins' contract is up at the end of this season, the Pelicans are confident that he'll sign an extension to stay in The Big Easy to play alongside fellow Kentucky Wildcats alum, Anthony Davis.
Following last night's All-Star Game and the official announcement of the trade, Boogie and his agent weren't even sure where to go considering he was already in his new home city.
According to ESPN, the Lakers were also in talks with the Kings to acquire Boogie but their unwillingness to trade rookie big man Brandon Ingram paved the way for Cousins to NOLA.
Twitter, of course, had plenty to say about the new twin tower tandem in New Orleans as well as what the Kings received back in return.
