Last night, while most of us were tuned in to the BET Hip-Hop Awards, Kid Cudi made a confession in an open letter to fans. This comes shortly after the rapper unveiled artwork and a release date for his new album, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin, and then, just two days later, announced that the album would be delayed (although we still got new music).
Cudi has come out to reveal he's been battling "depression and suicidal urges" in his letter, while assuring fans that the album is still on the way.
"Ashamed to be a leader and hero to so many while admitting I've been living a lie. It took me awhile to get to this place of commitment, but it is something I have to do for myself, my family, my best friend/daughter, and all of you, my fans," he wrote in the letter.
