Chicago unites.

It was around this time last year that Kanye West cancelled a tour stop on his Saint Pablo tour, cutting the run short after being hospitalized in Los Angeles and placed on psychiatric hold. This came nearly two months after former G.O.O.D Music artist and frequent collaborator Kid Cudi went off in a stream of tweets aimed toward ‘Ye. It was a bizarre cluster of months for Mr. West that would effectively catalyze the Hip-Hop icon’s hiatus from the stage.

Now, almost an exact year from his hospitalization, Kanye West hopped back onstage in a full circle moment alongside Kid Cudi during Cudder’s tour stop in both artists’ native Chicago.

It was during Cudi’s show at the city’s Aragon Ballroom—the latest stop in his Passion, Pain, & Demon Slayin’ Tour that Kanye West emerged to perform “Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1,” one the more memorable cuts off of 2016’s The Life of Pablo. The crowd naturally went crazy, and the internet soon followed.

Cudi’s tour, in support of last year’s album of the same name, kicked off in September and is nearing its close with 10 dates remaining throughout the month of November, ending on the 22nd in Seattle.
