Tyga recently unveiled the DONDA-designed cover art for his new album The Gold Album, and appropriately, the album art design was reportedly made out of real gold.
After airing out frustrations with his Young Money/Cash Money label, and claiming he was trying to get out of his contract and drop his album independently, it looks like he might have succeeded. The rapper announced a release date for the long-delayed Gold Album today, as well as a link to pre-order on his merchandise site, according to HHNM.
The album will finally see the light day (as long as YMCMB doesn't somehow block its release) on January 27th. Pre-order it here.
Is it a good move for T-Raww to drop his album independently? If you missed the recent music video for the single "Make It Work" you can watch it here. Tyga also recently dropped off the first single off Fan of a Fan 2 with Chris Brown, titled "Ayo," which you can stream here.
[Update: Album Is Delayed Again]
After Tyga announced what was purported to be an official release date for The Gold Album last month, he's had to renege on his word again. Read his tweet announcing further delays below.
