Tyga locks down a release date near the end of December for "The Gold Album."

Tyga is making sure to step things up for the ambitiously-titled The Gold Album, after giving fans a somewhat lacklustre effort with Hotel California. He's definitely on the right track, with the Kanye West-produced "40 Mill" and the Sap-produced "Make It Work," both of which showcase T-Raww's strong suits: an easy-going flow, catchy hooks and energetic production.

Today Tyga is preparing to kick up the promo for The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, and announced a new release date for the album. Taking to twitter, the YMCMB rapper says the album is going to arrive right before Christmas, on December 23rd.

This new comes shortly after Tyga put his label, YMCMB, on blast for apparently holding him "hostage." Perhaps his twitter rant inspired them to lock down a release date for his album. He also recently shot a music video for the "40 Mill" single out in L.A., where he ran into a bit of trouble with the police.

Are you planning to cop it? Peep Tyga's tweet below.
