The same guy that teamed up with Chris Brown in 2015 to releasethe collaborative album Fan Of A Fan in 2015 featuring the mega hit "Ayo."
We are also talking about the same guy that had one of the most controversial and public relationships with the young Kardashian Starlett Kylie Jenner, as well as the same guy who's had numerous financial and label problems resulting in reposession and a new deal with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music imprint.
But now that 2017 has rolled around, things are looking ever so promising for Tyga in this new chapter of his career and we are recieving more and more high qaulity releases from the rapper with each day passing by. So without further adieu, here's an all ntensive guide to Tyga's new and constantly evolving and discography. Check out these 10 essential tracks and get reacquainted with King Gold Chains on the cusp of his second glow up.
Tyga
"Master Suite"
A good place to begin this journey into Tyga's newly growing catalog is in the summer of 2015. Just a few short months after releasing his Kanye West produced single "40 Mill" and signalling a new directional current change in his music, Tyga followed up with the track "Master Suite" from his mixtape Fuk What They Talkin Bout.
While both tracks are bangers, "Master Suite" has this ridiculously hype energy to it that lifts the track to the next level. It's also really dope to see Tyga expirement with different flows like he does on this record. Both of these records are super essential because they sort of represent a new milestone in Tyga's career. It's like, at this point, Tyga decided to take no prisoners on his ascent to the top. All hail King Gold Chains.
"Ice Cream Man"
Tyga's 2015 mixtape Fuk What They Talkin Bout featured several standouts including the ultra sultry "Ice Cream Man." With this record, Tyga once again proved that he can make a record for anyone and anything sexual in nature and kill it.
On top of this track, songs like "Glitta" and "Stimulated" along with many more keep th momentum flowing and ultimately help the mixtape to be the success that it is. Peep the NSFW video for "Ice Cream Man" below along with the videos for "Glitta" and "Stimulated."
"Cash Money"
In addition to his new artistic direction Tyga was also going through a lot of business and entreprenurial changes as his Last Kings imprint and brand continued to build on its already large following, as well as his transition to G.O.O.D. Music. In a lot of ways, he had a lot to talk about, a lot to flex, and his single "Cash Money" is the seemingly the perfect venue for Tygato air out the intimates of his dirty laundry.
T-Raww really spits heat on this and the hook is straight ether level disrepsectful as Tyga triumphantly chants;
Cuz I'm paid cash money.
CashMoney never paid me but ya boy did his thang and still made cash money.
Yeah its mine I could throw it in the air if I wanna.
This one is definitely as dope as it is an essential track.
"1 Of 1"
Tyga has been through many stages or personas in his career, so to speak. His earlier T-Raww moniker came about within the first trilogy of his Well Done mixtape series and he quickly transitioned into his his hardened King Gold Chains flow as the years progressed. While we all like those dummy bangers Tyga consistently puts out, it's always great to get a refreshing contrast record like "1 of 1."
His take on the popular Dancehall/Afro-Pop genre isn't wildly spectacular, but it's also not terrible. Truth is, this song is a vibe and the fact that Tyga cut it makes it that much more impressive.
"Trap Pussy"
Tyga is undoubtedly the new school leader of X-rated records. "Make It Nasty" is still probably one of the most raunchy, in a good way, records out here, but the 2016 single "Trap Pussy " isn't far behind. The moment the beat drops Tyga ferociously takes hold of the track and spits bar after bar with the highest level of intensity.
This one fire to say the least.
"Gucci Snakes" feat. Desiigner
Tyga started 2017 off in full-work mode and he has not slowed down at all this year. He has released several big records including "Gucci Snakes" featuring his new label mate Desiigner. "Gucci Snakes" has that same super flossy, stunt like its nothing mentality Tyga is known for, however it sounds more refined, aggressive and imporved. Tyga has some very intricate bars barried beneath the monstrous production on this track.
Plus who would've thought Desiigner and Tyga could sound so dope together?
"Feel Me" feat. Kanye West
This is one of those instaces where the music speaks for itself. "Feel Me" is just mad hype and really, you have no choice but to feel Kanye west and Tyga for killing this record. And what better way to announce his reign with a new empire than side by side the fearless leader G.O.O.D. Music.
"100's" feat. Chief Keef & AE
One of the dopest things to come of Tyga's new deal is his ability to work with a new range of artists as well as cultivate his own artists for Last Kings. The Chief Keef feature on "100's" is quite possiblytop guest spot in 2017 and the added hype from Tyga's long time affiliateAE makes the record pop that much more.
And they throw so much money in this video that it's absolutely insane! Peep it below.
"Act Ghetto" feat. Lil Wayne
The rap game has truly felt the diminished, if not completely missing presence of Lil Wayne over the course of the past few years. Though he has been apart of projects and done numerous guest spots in recent years, it's nothing like his absolute dominance of the game durng the mide to early and mid 2000's. However now that he is working on relieveing himself of the burden that is Cash Money and getting back to the music, we have seen a lot of dope Weezy features in 2017 and Tyga's "Act Ghetto" is definitely an essential one.
These two reunite on this track that is so exciting and comforting that it absolutely had to make on this list. Here's to wishing the success of these two Young Money/Cash Money legends.
"Eyes Closed"
Though it's the newest entry on this list, it doesn't falter a bit. "Eyes Closed" and yet another piercing step forward for the young rap juggernaut Tyga. This track feels fresh and energized and puts Tyga in a really exciting place in regards to what's next for him.
No matter what though, it's obvious that he can do this with his eyes closed.
