It was an eventful night in Philadelphia for 76ers All Star center Joel Embiid, both on and off the court.
Following the Sixers' victory over the Boston Celtics, in which Marcus Smart was ejected for shoving Embiid to the ground, Embiid took to Instagram to troll Celtics point guard Terry Rozier. While Rozier wasn't featured in any of the photos posted by Embiid, the location, "Lametown," was a subtle shot at Scary Terry.
For reference, here's what Rozier had to say when asked about Embiid during an interview with FS1's Kristine Leahy earlier this week:
Embiid tormented the Celtics on the court as well. In addition to baiting Marcus Smart into an ejection, Embiid led all scorers with 37 points to go along with a career-high 22 rebounds as the Sixers picked up a 118-115 victory, marking their first win against Boston this season.
The Sixers remain on solid ground as the three-seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 47-25. With 10 games remaining in the regular season, Philly is four games back of the second-seed Toronto Raptors, and three games up on the fourth place Indiana Pacers. The Celtics, meanwhile, are sitting in fifth, just one game behind Indiana.
