Hulu wanted to dip their fingers into the lucrative Marvel Cinematic Universe, and they did so with Runaways. The series is based on a comic of the same name. The concept of the plot is rather original: a group of teens learn that their parents are supervillains, and they run away together. While many teens feel like their parents may be evil, this series makes that irrational fear a reality. Much like Netflix's Marvel shows, the teens and their parents avoid interacting with the MCU's movie plots, although the show exists within the same universe. In the series, the kids decide to battle their parents using superpowers of their own, and an epic tale unfolds filled with family drama and betrayal.
After a successful first season, Runaways is returning for a second outing that will show how the teens learn to trust each other. After running away, the group is now living on their own as their parents hunt for them. Marvel's Runaways stars Rhenzy Feliz, Virginia Gardner, Lyrica Okano, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Allegra Acosta, Annie Wersching, Ryan Sands, Angel Parker, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Kevin Weisman, Brigid Brannagh, Julian McMahon Kip Pardue, Brittany Ishibashi, and James Yaegashi. Season 2 touches down on December 21.
