Latvian Night no more at MSG.

The New York Knicks have officially cancelled "Latvian Heritage Night," which was scheduled to be held on February 24 when they play the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden.

Of course, with a certain 7'3 Latvian no longer a member of the Knicks roster, the organization felt it unnecessary to host such an event.

The Knicks previously hosted French Heritage Night, in honor of Frank Ntilikina, on December 9 and most recently recognized Mario Hezonja during Croatian Heritage Night, on January 11. Heritage Night or no Heritage Night, there hasn't been much of a reason for Knicks fans to visit MSG this season anyway.

The Knicks suffered a 126-111 loss at home to the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, marking their 18th straight loss. The team heads into the All-Star break with an NBA-worst 10-47 record, having lost 26 of their last 27 games.

They haven't tasted victory since January 4, when they defeated the LeBron-less Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. If you're looking for their last win at The Garden, you'd have to go all the way back to December 21, when they beat the Atlanta Hawks 114-107.
