LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers made their final visit of the season to Madison Square Garden last night and LeBron came prepared to troll the New York Knicks and their fans.
If you recall, when the Cavs beat the Knicks at MSG earlier this season, LeBron took to instagram and declared himself "King of New York" following an on-court altercation with Knicks center Enes Kanter. Last night in NYC, LeBron took the floor in a special edition pair of Nike LeBron 15s that had "I'm King" spelled out across the heels of both shoes.
James' sneaker choice also comes just days after a Knicks-themed billboard, which was paid for by @NYCAdsCo, went up on 7th Avenue between 31st and 32nd streets, facing the main entrance to MSG. It reads, “King of New York? Prove it,” along with the hashtag, #KingJamesNYC18.
LeBron finished with 26 points, 11 assists and six rebounds in Cleveland's 123-109 victory. The Cavs are still sitting in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, just a half-game back of the Sixers, with a final home game against the Knicks remaining on their schedule before the post-season begins.
