Lauryn Hill has a hefty bill due.

Yesterday it was reported that Tyrese Gibson just settled on a payment plan with American Express to pay off his $61K in credit card debt and it now looks like Lauryn Hill may have to make a similar deal. According to Bossip the "Doo Woop" singer owes the credit card company a whopping $371,892.39 and is being sued for the money.

According to the publication, the bill was racked up from “the price of goods sold and/or services rendered" and Lauryn has previously refused to make payments on the amount and American Express in calling on the court for help to get their money.

Recently, Lauryn released a statement responding to claims that she stole music from Jazz musician Robert Glasper's friends, specifically for her  1998 album Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. "’m confused as to why such a principled musician, who thought I ‘stole’ from his friends, would show up to work for me anyway," she wrote. "If that was hypocrisy or opportunism instead of genuine interest, it would further explain why an artist would feel the need to put his or her guard up."

“The Miseducation was the first time I worked with musicians outside of the Fugees [whose] report and working relationship was clear. In an effort to create the same level of comfort, I may not have established the necessary boundaries and may have been more inviting than I should have been,” she added. “In hindsight, I would have handled it differently for the removal of any confusion.
