Former NBA star Lamar Odom, who recently announced that he will enter the 2019 Big3 League draft pool, is getting into the CBD game as well.
According to TMZ Sports, Odom's cannabis company Rich Soil Organics has teamed up with Five Star Juice to release a line of disposable CBD products called the "Odom Vape Pen." The official announcement is expected to come later this week at the Tobacco Plus Expo in Las Vegas.
During an interview last April with The Blast, Odom explained that he discovered the healing power of cannabis when he was recovering from his addiction to crack cocaine.
“While going through rehab, I discovered certain strains that support wellness. Friends, associates, and ex-teammates asked me what solutions I was using on my road back to recovery, and that’s when Rich Soil Organics was born,” Lamar described, adding: “It’s a perfect time to offer these Cannabis solutions to the public who may be going through similar body issues as I am.”
As mentioned, the 39-year old Odom will also be featured in the 2019 Big3 draft pool. "He’s worked hard and we're thrilled to see him return to US professional basketball at the #BIG3Season3 combine," the league said Thursday.
Odom recently returned to pro basketball at The Dubai International Basketball Championship on February 1. He has not played in the NBA since the 2012-13 season when he was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers.
The two-time NBA champion, and Sixth Man of the Year Award winner in 2010-11, averaged 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game during the course of his career.
