Last week, PnB Rock finally released his new album and it's much better than anybody expected. The Philadelphia rapper has been somewhat of an afterthought for the last few years but it seems like he was plotting the entire time he was being slept on, dropping one of the more enjoyable projects of the entire year so far. In case the eighteen-track album wasn't enough, a deluxe version of TrapStar Turnt PopStar has officially been made available with a few extra songs. Including appearances by NBA YoungBoy and Roddy Ricch, the highlight track from these new joints has to be "T-Shirt" with Lil Wayne.
The entire album is nothing but enjoyable. There are few skippable songs and while nothing is a direct standout, each track flows nicely into the next. Now that we've got an extra four songs to digest, we're even happier than before. Rock came through today with "T-Shirt," which features a chorus and verse from Lil Wayne. The two have good chemistry with Rock coming through with some more melody magic. As for Weezy, you already know what you're getting from him. His contributions are solid as always.
Lil Wayne announced earlier today that he will be going on tour with Blink-182 this summer. Check out that reveal here and be sure to give the deluxe version of TrapStar Turnt PopStar a listen here.
Quotable Lyrics:
I hit you when times is hard
'ause you help my mind evolve
You take my mind abroad
Might be a sign from God
I gots to keep you close
He likes to give you rope
He let you hang yourself
I let you hang and smoke
