Lil Wayne has always been a fan of rock music. He tends to dabble in the genre every so often, rapping over guitar-laced beats and picking up the drumsticks for collaborations with Travis Barker. Considering his close bond with the Blink-182 drummer, the following announcement shouldn't be as surprising as it is but for some reason, we're still pretty shocked at this development. Out of nowhere, Blink-182 and Lil Wayne have announced that they're heading on a co-headlining tour this summer, hitting over thirty separate dates.
The tour had been rumoured for a few weeks and despite neither camp making an official announcement yet, several local news platforms have noticed ticket information popping up for their cities. It appears as though the unlikely duo will be travelling across the country for dates in Columbus, Tampa, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and other markets. Live Nation has started promoting the affair as a joint summer tour and hopefully, this actually comes to be. It would definitely be pretty cool witnessing Tunechi and one of the best bands of the last ten years, Blink-182, in action.
Keep an eye on this one because it appears as though an official statement will be coming soon. Would you go see a joint tour between these two musical acts?
