NBA stars and commentators were up in arms on Sunday as rookie Atlanta Hawks player Trae Young was ejected from the team's match against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday afternoon. Young had already received a technical foul earlier in the game and was given a second for taunting Kris Dunn of the Bulls. The young Hawks star pulled up for a long three-point shot and when he sunk it, it stared down Dunn with his hands on his hips. The ejection came as a shock to everyone in the arena, even Dunn who had no clue what was happening.
"I don't really know what happened, to be honest," Dunn said according to ESPN. "I just know that he got ejected, and I felt that he shouldn't have got ejected."
Former NBA player and current analyst Reggie Miller couldn't believe the ejection as he tweeted: "What's happened to my beloved NBA game? So damn SOFT and SENSITIVE now, nooooo way Trae Young should be given a technical for this.. I would have been broke and out of the league in 2 years. ... #LetBallersBall.''
Luckily for the Hawks, they were still able to win the game even without Young. At the time of the ejection, the Hawks were up by 16, but ultimately ended up winning by 5 with a score of 123-118.
