With the #5 pick in last night's NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves selected Providence's stud point guard, Kris Dunn. It was an emotional night for Dunn, who had spent much of his childhood being raised by his brother until his father came back into his life during the 8th grade, while his mother was in and out of jail.
He was a monster for The Friars last season averaging 16.4 points, 6.2 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game, and will be a perfect fit alongside Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns on Tom Thibodeau's squad.
Upon being selected by the T'Wolves, Dunn was moved to tears as he described the incredible moment after enduring such a difficult journey to the league.
But before the brief interview wrapped up, Dunn was able to show off his icy Gucci shoes which were paired up with his JC Penney suit. Kind of like putting $3,000 rims on a Buick LeSabre, but when JC Penney is sponsoring your entire fit it's hard to say no.
Plus, if we're being honest, he and Buddy Hield looked pretty dapper in their JC Penney apparel, styled by Kenny "The Jet" Smith of course.
