Former NBA star Lamar Odom plans to resume his basketball career in China, after reportedly reaching an agreement with an unnamed team.

Odom, 38, last played in the NBA during the 2012-13 season and has not played basketball at a professional level since a nearly fatal overdose at a Las Vegas brothel in October 2015. Most recently, Odom was linked to a shooting at a Hooters location in Queens, although he has denied any involvement in the incident.

Odom shared the news on his instagram account and thanked former NBA star Stephon Marbury for being his inspiration. Marbury played in the NBA for 13 seasons before heading to the Chinese Basketball Association, where he went on to win multiple titles.

Odom's IG post reads,

"I have some good news to share with you on this beautiful day from The Netherlands. My heart literally warms up now I can finally share with you all that I'm returning to play Basketball.
