Lamar Odom is still working on his basketball game and it looks he'll soon be back on the court playing in Ice Cube's Big3 League.
TMZ Sports recently caught up with the former NBA star in Beverly Hills, and he told them, "Yeah, I'mma play. You gotta go to the combine and all that, so I'm in shape working out."
In a recent interview with TMZ, Ice Cube was asked about Odom joining the Big3. "I'm rooting for him," says Cube, "He's still gotta try out like everybody else. Get healthy, get in shape, and get to the combine."
Over the summer Odom announced that he would be resuming his basketball career in China. He has not played in the NBA since the 2012-13 season when he was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers. The two-time NBA champion, and Sixth Man of the Year Award winner in 2010-11, averaged 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game during the course of his career.
Odom, 39, recently revealed that he had 12 strokes and six heart attacks while in a coma following his 2015 overdose at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada. During a sit down interview on Kevin Hart's Youtube talk show series "Cold As Balls," L.O. old told Hart, "All my doctors that see me say I'm a walking miracle."
