Curry could be back sooner than expected.

Less than one week after a report suggested that Steph Curry was "not close to playing," the two-time NBA MVP has practiced at "100 percent" and there is a chance he could suit up for Game 1 against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night.

According to NBC Sports' Monte Pool, Steve Kerr says Curry is currently listed as questionable for Game 1. On Wednesday, Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers hinted that the All-Star point guard could be back in the lineup on Saturday.

"It's conceivable," Myers said on 95.7 The Game on Wednesday, according to CBS Sports. "He's gonna try and practice ... if he can get in tomorrow's practice and Friday and doesn't have any setbacks and feels physically ready, then there's a chance he can go."

Curry has not played since suffering an MCL injury on March 23 and the Warriors have gone 8-7 during that stretch. In 51 games this season, Curry averaged 26.4 points which was tied with Kevin Durant for most on the team, in addition to 6.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game.

The Warriors will host the New Orleans Pelicans in Game 1 on Saturday night, which is scheduled to tipoff at 10:30pm ET on TNT.
