Golden State Warriors All-Star point guard Steph Curry has been upgraded to "probable" for Game 2 tomorrow night against the New Orleans Pelicans. Curry did not play at all in Game 1, but the Warriors still cruised to a 123-101 victory.
The 2x NBA MVP has not played since suffering an MCL injury on March 23 and the Warriors have gone 9-7 during that stretch. Speaking with reporters today, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said he'd be very surprised if Curry isn't on the court for Game 2 and added that he will not be on a minutes restriction.
"I'd be very surprised if he didn't play," Kerr told reporters.
"He's ready to go. He's been cleared," Kerr said.
In 51 games this season, Curry averaged 26.4 points which was tied with Kevin Durant for most on the team, in addition to 6.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game. Game 2 between the Pelicans and Warriors, airing on TNT, is scheduled to tip off at 10:30pm ET tomorrow night.
