When the news broke that Troi "Star" Torain, the host brought on to replace Joe Budden on Everyday Struggle, was leaving the show after only four months at Complex, fans were obviously concerned about the fate of the show. Well, at least some of them must have been, because it appears that a lot more of them were hating on the show instead.
In an announcement video posted on Instagram yesterday, the hosts are shrouded in darkness, surrounded by the voices and comments of those who try to demean them. Some of the voices included in the cacophony include Desus from Desus & Mero, Charlamagne Tha God from The Breakfast Club, and Sway from Sway in the Morning. YouTube and Instagram comments fill up the screen until, suddenly, the lights turn on. What's revealed is the new host of the show, Wayno, who will be taking Star's place.
Those of you who have watched Everyday Struggle before probably know who Wayno is, as he's acted as a third host on the show in the past. For those who don't know, Wayno is a industry figure and management professional, who's worked with artists such as Jay Z and DMX, and manages rappers like Dave East from his company, Triangle Offense Management.
The first episode of the new Everyday Struggle will premiere tomorrow, April 21st. Do you think Wayno is a good fit for the new host, or should they have just listened to the haters and cancelled the show? Check out the announcement below.
