When Joe Budden announced that he would be leaving Everyday Struggle early this year, there were questions about who could possibly replace him as the show's co-host. Budden brought an aggressive energy to the show that resulted in some of its most viral moments, including beef inducing interviews with Lil Yachty and Migos.
Complex thought they found their man in Troi "STAR" Torain, a radio host who previously worked at Power 105. He certainly wasn't afraid of his own controversy, starting beef with rappers like The Game, and making inappropriate comments about his co-host, Nadeska Alexis.
Now it seems that Torain and Everyday Struggle will no longer be a thing, as he announced on his YouTube channel that he had requested a release from the show, and it appears he was finally granted it.
He avoids getting messy in his explanation as to why he left, though he did specify that he didn't quit, he just wanted a release. He also refrained from releasing the alleged emails shared between his lawyer and Complex's lawyer. Instead says thank you to everyone that he worked with on the show, and wished them all good luck in the future.
For a dude who was so big on drama, it's a little disappointing that he couldn't make a bigger show of his departure, though the legal legwork he had to have gone through to be released from his contract must have made that difficult.
