Drake's "Nice For What" became a worldwide sensation. Produced by Murda Beatz, the Lauryn Hill sampled banger sat atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart for weeks, adding to Drizzy's historical dominance. The Canadian rapper beat himself out of the top spot originally, "God's Plan" was the number one song in the country before "Nice For What" took its place. Together, Drizzy spent 15 weeks at number one, and was only recently unseated by Childish Gambino's ingenious "This Is America" song and video.
Chicago-bred rapper G Herbo must be feeling Drake's latest hit, just like everyone else, because he took to Instagram to post a video of himself rocking out to the beat in the studio. Donning a red hoody, a mountain of chains, and smoking a blunt, Herbo begins nodding to the beat while his own voice can be heard over the instrumental. At that moment viewers realize that it isn't Drake's version playing in the background, but Herbo's own remix. "ITS HOT AS F**K IN THE STU IMA DROP THIS ASAP @champagnepapi @murdabeatz I NEED THE BEAT 🙏," wrote Herbo as the caption on the post.
"I been told the world, get your f***ing roll on," begins Herbo on the beat. He continues to smoke the blunt and nod along to his music as it plays, giving fans a quick preview of the remix.
