The newest update to the Billboard Hot 100 chart has been released, and Drake is continuing to dominate in an unprecedented fashion. Drake already made history when his recent single, "Nice For What," instantly shot to the top of the charts, replacing his previous single, "God's Plan," for the number one spot.
Well, he's managed to maintain that feat yet again this week, as according to Billboard, both of Drake's singles have held firmly in place at number one and number two over the past week. "Nice For What" is only one of 30 songs to ever debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and now is only one of 15 to ever stay there for a second week. He also officially broke Bruno Mars' record for most weeks at the top of the chart this year.
Things are also looking good for Drake's Young Money compatriot, Nicki Minaj, as one of her two singles, "Chun-Li," has gained significant ground since its debut at number 92, last week. Since then, "Chun-Li" has spinning bird kicked itself all the way to the top ten, jumping a massive 82 spots in only a week. This is her 16th top ten hit, extending her record for the most top ten hits from a female rapper. "Barbie Tingz," Nicki's other single, also had a significant increase, jumping from the 83rd spot to the 25th.
It seems that between Scorpion and Nicki's upcoming album, Young Money is getting ready to take over the summer. That is, if Kanye West doesn't have anything to say about it.
