The assault case pinned against Justin Bieber by Rodney Tobias Cannon is still very much ongoing. Rodney and Justin got into a physical altercation in the streets during the 2016 NBA Finals and according to the alleged victim, Justin used the N-word towards Rodney.
The Blast has gotten its hands on a new statement from Rodney where the sports enthusiast says “Justin Bieber has a history of inappropriate behavior” and the Biebs is “fortunate” Rodney did “not engage in mutual combat.” Furthermore, Rodney adds how “Mr. Bieber’s celebrity does not give him a license to use the ‘N’ word.”
Of course, if Justin did, in fact, throw the racial slur at Rodney then there are grounds for anger. But as Justin's manager Scooter Braun states: "Justin Bieber has done a lot of stupid things in his past but what he has also done is apologize and own those mistakes. This most recent claim against him is completely false and a fabrication from a man who tried to push for money for the last several years."
Scooter says it's "disgusting" to see Rodney bring race into the case, adding that "[Rodney] should be ashamed of himself. Real racism exists.. but it doesn’t apply here. Just horrible."
