YG has been one of a few artists that are ensuring Nipsey Hussle stays in people's minds after his passing. Along with The Game, T.I. and others, YG has shared several tributes to his friend on social media, reminding everybody of how close they truly were. Although they repped different sets, they got along like two peas in a pod, collaborating many times and coming up at the same time. YG spoke during Nipsey's memorial service at the Staples Center and on the set of his brand new music video, he decided to offer up a gift to his fallen friend in heaven.
"Big bro, them 33 crip balloons for yo 33 years," wrote YG on Instagram, posting a photo of him letting dozens of blue balloons fly into the sky. Hussle was 33-years-old when he passed away so the number is symbolic to YG. He was on the set of his new music video for "Stop Snitchin," sending the balloons into the sky in between takes. He closed out the message by speaking directly to Nip, telling him he loves him.
The rapper's comments are full of love with sending through blue heart emojis to pay tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle. Jhené Aiko, Diddy, Young Thug, Busta Rhymes, and Nipsey's bodyguard are among those commenting on the post.
