This is the worst phase of Hollywood filmmaking, maybe ever. Major studios are bastardizing old franchises left and right with low-effort reboots. They should have stopped at Cobra Kai, which was actually a faithful and high-quality continuation of the original LaRusso story. They brought old character stories full circle and used them as a vehicle to focus on the new set of kids, who were actually very likeable.

I hate the logo bullshit on the jerseys ever since Nike took over production and teams put their sponsors on there. Looks cheap as hell and some of the logos completely ruin the aesthetics of the jersey designs.

Really dig the vintage 50s/60s music and I think Gaga’s Harley will be chaotic but much classier than previous renditions. This is why I wish DC would stop trying to imitate Marvel; these self-contained takes on heroes and villains are far more interesting when there’s no pressure to connect them to some grand storyline/continuity/style. I like Marvel but every MCU film looks/feels the same because the universe has to appear consistent and every entry adds new story constraints. There’s a reason Nolan’a Batman trilogy has stood as the best overarching hero story ever (IMO) with no spin-offs or added content.

Nice to see he’s enjoying himself and improving his outlook after release, but unfortunately I believe his hype as a rapper is unsalvageable unless he drops a God-tier album (unlikely). All he had to do was drop a semi-decent banger over a Tay Keith beat within a few days of being released and he would be back in rotation INSTANTLY on radio and streaming. I suppose the rap ambition just may not be there because there’s no way he spent several years in jail and couldn’t come up with enough hard bars for a “first day out” track or somethin. Ik he’s released singles but, I’m sorry, none of them were listenable.
