UPDATE: Charlamagne Tha God was in South Africa during the interview. His absence was unrelated to Troy Ave's appearance.
It seems as though every time you hear something about Troy Ave, it has to do with a shooting, a lawsuit, or something about snitching. In the past, he's spoken truthfully about his experiences in the streets and while he awaits his trial to begin in January, he's doing promo for his latest album More Money More Problems. The rapper hit The Breakfast Club to speak on Tekashi 6ix9ine's current legal trouble and why he believes "the streets is a myth," but most commenters are paying more attention to the clear absence of one outspoken host. Despite Charlamagne tha God getting introduced at the beginning of Troy's episode, the radio host was not present during the interview. Fans seem to have their ideas as to why he skipped out.
It's uncommon for Chalamagne to miss an interview on The Breakfast Club. He's usually the most vocal of the bunch but even when he doesn't show up, he's still turning heads. Earlier this year, Charlamagne missed out on another Troy Ave interview. "Cthegod not there cause [Taxstone] his mans," wrote one commenter. Another added, "C tha god a sucker for not being there and skipping out again smh."
Troy has been up to his neck in legal difficulties for the last few years. Check out his latest interview for some insight on the situation.
