Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Terry Crews is adamant about making Adam Venit pay for groping him at a party, and he has every right to be. Hollywood agent Adam Venit allegedly fondled Crews at an event in front of the former NFL player's wife. Once the #MeToo movement began to pick up, the stories of brave women influenced Crews to speak up about his own incident. Although people have poked fun at Crews' allegations, citing his size, strength, and the idea of fragile masculinity to try and break down his case, he has remained focused.
Crews has fought on despite his opposers, and even testified in front of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. His testimony came after the Los Angeles City Attorney and Los Angeles County D.A. threw out his case. Now, Crews is claiming that Venit's ties to the LAPD were the reason for the case being dismissed. He took to Twitter to release a screenshot of an email from Venit and his wife Trina asking for sponsorship for the LAPD's True Blue Cocktail Gala, to which they are Chairs. "Adam Venit has been the Event Chairman of the LAPD Foundation, which raises millions for the @LAPD," wrote Crews in the tweet. "Anyone wonder why my assault case against him was thrown out by the D.A.?" Crews does have a good argument here.
