The past few days have been incredibly strange for Tekashi 6ix9ine. The rapper took to Instagram yesterday to ask his followers to keep him in his prayers as his court date was today. He said there's a chance that he might get locked up for three years in prison. While many awaited for the verdict to arrive today, the rapper's management took to his tweeted on his behalf "#Free69" and they took to his Instagram to explain that he "won't be back until further notice."
Reports came up that the rapper failed to show up at his court case but apparently, that's not the case. Complex has reported that the rapper's case was postponed and DJ Akademiks said that it was because the court didn't have a copy of 6ix9ine's GED papers.
The rapper's plea deal is part of his current child sex case from 2015. The plea deal required that he finished his GED or else he'd face three years behind bars. However, their source told them that there's a slim chance he'll face jail time due to the fact that he allegedly completed his GED in addition to other parts to the plea deal. Details on his next court case have yet to surface.
While we might not here for the rapper for a bit, he did drop his new single, "Gotti" earlier today as part of Day69: Graduation Day.
