The past few months have been wild for Tekashia 6ix9ine. In just a short period of time, the controversial Brooklyn rapper has taken off with the success of his "Gummo" and "Kooda" singles, the former of which has garnered over 100 million views on Youtube.
This year he ushered in more viral hits with his "KEKE" single alongside Fetty Wap and A Boogie wit Da Hoodie. He'd go on to hint that he inked a $7.5 million deal with an undisclosed party only described as the "Illuminati," and it looks like his momentum isn't slowing up yet as he announces a release date for his forthcoming debut project, set for release on February 23.
"MY FIRST EVER PROJECT DROPS FEBUARY 23rd," 6ix9ine penned in an Instagram caption on Sunday afternoon. "FROM NOW ON COMMENT FEBRUARY 23RD ON EVERY POST IN THE WORLD LET NIGGAS KNOW THATS WHEN WE GO BRAZYYYY."
While its speculated that Tekashi's debut will be titled Day69, he failed to confirm this in his announcement. Despite a string of bad publicity most notably for his 2015 guilty plea in a case in which he was charged with the use of a minor in a sexual performance caught on tape, he's gone on to assert his own innocence and in the same fashion as most of his contemporaries, he's has managed to outmanuever the case and keep the spotlight on his career for now.
Be on the look out for that new Tekashi this time next month.
